The template I give you for the final project is to big to fit on black matte boards.

*Save as a .pdf than have the printshop scale to fit 11 x 17

*MOUNT on your black matte boards. (matte board size 15 x 20)

*Crop to die cute line (bring die cute layer to the top of the layer palette)

WEEK 9 JAN. 13th

Lab today - work on panel designs for cereal box. (think of what info is going to be on cereal box)

1. Cereal box due 25th of Jan. (cut out box to die cut and than mount on black matte board)
2. FINAL PRACTICAL TEST on 27th of Jan. (Be on time to Illustrate with pen tool)

NO class on Monday 18th holiday

Take apart cereal box to view structure of the box.

Check off : thumbnail sketches of logo designs from the list of names you created.

• Use an existing brand name (POST, USDA ORGANICS, KELLOGG'S, QUAKERS, GENERAL MILLS) if there is another just check it off with me.

• No filler type (you have write and design what will be on your box.

• Place an endorsement logo (We used the AFHA) if there is another just check it off with me.

• Place an recycled logo on your box.

• 3 to 4 colors (tints & shades)

• Place product weight and nutrition information (you can use the nutrition template from the HeartSmart packet, but its in outlines)

• Place an bar code on your box with weight on it.

• Best by box use design on the cereal box.

• Open & close instructions on the box.
